PainShield is being provided to the Veterans Administration as a novel, clinically effective alternative to opioid based pain management and an adjunct to recovery protocols. Due to the ease of use and built in safety controls, patient use compliance is significantly higher than alternative solutions.
Ultrasound technology has been used for years in clinical settings however it has traditionally required the support of trained clinical staff, messy gel interfaces and a patient's willingness to attend on-site therapy sessions. PainShield removes those barriers to treatment.
